Check Available 2026 PackagesUmrah flights from Faisalabad leave from Faisalabad International Airport (LYP), and the Faisalabad routes below were checked on 25 September 2026.
For Faisalabad pilgrims, connecting options, Ihram timing and baggage rules are explained in our Umrah flights guide.
Hotels, inclusions, prices, documents and departure day are explained once in our full guide — pick the part your Faisalabad trip needs:
Faisalabad International Airport had non-stop Jeddah flights on PIA on limited days when we checked, and no Madinah flights. When the local flight fits your dates, it's the easiest option. Otherwise, most Faisalabad families drive to Lahore, which has more airlines and non-stop Madinah flights, or sometimes Islamabad. Book early for Ramadan and the winter holidays, and allow for fog on December–January drives.
Faisalabad is one of Pakistan's largest cities, and one of the few with its own international airport offering Umrah flights. That gives Faisalabad families an option most Punjab cities don't have: on the right day, you can fly from home to Jeddah without driving to Lahore first.
The catch is frequency. When we checked, Faisalabad's Jeddah flights ran on limited days, on one airline, and there were no Madinah flights. So for many Faisalabad families, the real question isn't "which package?" but "which airport?" Sometimes the answer is Faisalabad. Often it's Lahore. Occasionally it's Islamabad.
This guide helps you make that choice, plan the drive if you need one, and compare packages and quotes properly. It also covers documents, timing and planning for parents and big family groups from Faisalabad and the surrounding districts. For the Umrah rites, visa rules and hotel categories in general, see our complete Umrah guide.
When we checked airline schedules on 25 September 2026:
| Airport | Non-stop to Jeddah | Non-stop to Madinah | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Faisalabad (LYP) | PIA, on limited days | None found | The local flight matches your dates |
| Lahore (LHE) | PIA, Airblue, Fly Jinnah, Saudia, SereneAir | PIA, Airblue | You need specific dates, more airlines or Madinah first |
| Islamabad (ISB) | PIA, Airblue, Fly Jinnah, AirSial, Saudia | PIA, Airblue | Lahore is full, or you're travelling with relatives from the north |
The best way to decide is simple: ask for flight options from Faisalabad and Lahore for your dates, then compare the total door-to-door journey and cost. A local flight that saves a long drive is worth a lot, especially with elders. But a Lahore flight on the right day, non-stop and with better baggage, can be the better trip.
When the Faisalabad flight fits, it offers real advantages:
Things to keep in mind:
Faisalabad airport is on the city's outskirts, so allow time to reach it from your area, and arrive at least three hours before departure.
For many Faisalabad families, Lahore's Allama Iqbal airport is the practical choice. The motorway makes the drive manageable, but it is still a journey of a few hours before a long flight. Plan it carefully:
If you want road transport from Faisalabad to Lahore arranged, ask for it to be priced in your quote. It is only included if listed.
Many families, especially those with elderly parents, prefer to begin Umrah in Madinah. You land in the calmer city, rest, pray in Masjid an-Nabawi and visit the Rawdah, booked through Nusuk. You don't wear Ihram on the flight. Later you put on Ihram at the Madinah Miqat (Dhul Hulayfah) on the way to Makkah.
Because we found no Madinah flights from Faisalabad, a Madinah-first trip means flying from Lahore or Islamabad, where PIA and Airblue had non-stop Madinah flights when we checked, on fewer days than Jeddah. If this matters to your family, ask for it when you request a quote, and be flexible on dates.
Central Punjab's winter fog, usually worst in December and January, affects Faisalabad families in two ways. Flights at Faisalabad and Lahore can be delayed or diverted, especially early in the morning. Motorway sections can close for safety when visibility drops, stretching the drive to Lahore considerably.
Because the winter school holidays fall in exactly these weeks, many Faisalabad families travel in fog season. To reduce the risk:
| Category | Makkah hotel | Rooms | Usually suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | Further out; shuttle common | Quad or shared | Fit, budget-first, repeat pilgrims |
| 3 Star | Walkable, not the closest | Double to quad | First-timers, couples, small families |
| 4 Star | Closer, shorter walk | Double to quad | Families with elderly parents |
| 5 Star | Nearest band | Double to quad | Very elderly, Ramadan, special trips |
Faisalabad families often ask whether the category or the airport matters more. For comfort in Saudi Arabia, the Makkah hotel's distance matters most. For the journey, the airport matters most. Get both right, and the rest is detail. A common, good-value choice for families with parents is a closer Makkah hotel with a 3 star hotel in Madinah.
Faisalabad has many Umrah sellers, from established operators to local sub-agents. To compare fairly, make sure every quote answers the same questions:
A Lahore-departure quote may look cheaper than a Faisalabad one until you add the car to Lahore and a night's stay. Compare door-to-door, not airport-to-airport.
We don't publish a fixed Faisalabad price because it would be out of date quickly. Share your dates and group for a written, itemised quote.
The most common delays we see are name spellings that differ between CNIC and passport (especially on elders' older documents), married women with different surnames across documents, expired children's passports and vaccinations taken too late. Faisalabad has passport offices and designated vaccination centres, so these can usually be fixed quickly, if you start early.
| Travel period | Demand | Advice |
|---|---|---|
| Ramadan | Very high | Book as early as possible; local flight seats go fast |
| Rajab and Sha'ban | High | Popular pre-Ramadan window |
| December–January | High | Family season; plan around fog |
| Summer | Moderate | Very hot in Makkah; choose a closer hotel |
| Muharram and Safar | Lower | Best value |
The Umrah visa must be used within 30 days of issue, so a good operator books hotels and flights early and applies for the visa close to travel.
For elders, the local Faisalabad flight is valuable because it removes the drive. When it doesn't fit, a night in Lahore before the flight is the next best thing. Choose the closest Makkah hotel your budget allows, request wheelchair assistance when the ticket is issued, and build rest days into the plan. Keep medicines in hand baggage with prescriptions and extra days' supply.
Faisalabad families often travel with relatives from Jhang, Chiniot, Gojra, Samundri, Jaranwala or Toba Tek Singh. Choose one coordinator, agree one departure airport for everyone, and gather the evening before an early flight. If budgets differ, members can stay in different hotel categories and still perform Umrah and Ziyarat together.
Saudi rules have relaxed for adult women in organised groups, but operator policies and document checks vary. Tell the operator about every woman travelling before booking, and ask for rooms with family members.
Faisalabad is a business city, and many pilgrims are traders, factory owners or employees in the textile industry with limited leave or busy seasons. A few ideas help:
Most Faisalabad pilgrims land in Jeddah, either on the local flight or from Lahore. The first day usually runs like this:
This is a planning overview for Faisalabad pilgrims, not a substitute for learning the fiqh from a scholar you trust. Knowing the order explains why hotel distance and rest days matter so much.
Allow three to five hours for the whole sequence, and longer in crowds. That is why a long journey, a late check-in and a distant hotel together make the first night so demanding — and why resting first is sometimes the wiser choice.
Most packages offer a short programme of visits to places connected with the life of the Prophet ﷺ and early Islamic history. Check whether Ziyarat is included in your quote and which sites are covered.
Spread Ziyarat over separate mornings rather than one long, hot day, especially with elders, and don’t schedule it on the same day as a long journey.
If it matches your dates, it's usually the most comfortable start. Ask early, because seats can go quickly.
When dates are fixed or you want a Madinah-first trip, Lahore has the choice.
For night or early flights from Lahore, and always in fog season.
If you're saving on flights, put the money into a closer Makkah hotel, especially with elders.
Relatives from nearby districts should all fly from the same airport on the same flight.
Check flight days before fixing leave.
Fog can close motorways. Travel the day before.
Include road transport and overnight stays when comparing.
Check each hotel's walking distance yourself.
Check the operator and pay only a business account.
Faisalabad families have something most of Punjab doesn't: a local airport with Umrah flights. Use it when the dates fit, and use Lahore or Islamabad when they don't or when you want to start in Madinah.
A practical takeaway: when you ask for a quote, ask for two versions, one from Faisalabad and one from Lahore, with the road transfer included. Comparing those two side by side usually makes the right choice obvious.
Like Faisalabad, these areas usually fly from Faisalabad International Airport (LYP).
Send your Faisalabad travel dates and who is travelling, and you’ll get hotel names, flights and the full price per person in writing.
